Pearl Filtration’s activated carbon bags (ACBX series) are typically used for chlorine reduction or for potable water treatment, to improve the taste of water. They are constructed of a coconut shell based carbon. Carbon filter bags can operate at higher flow rate compared to carbon filter cartridges.
Carbon Bags are available in either Size 2 to suit a standard housing, or Size 5 to suit the HPP 100B plastic housing.
Carbon filters are not recommended to remove particulate and therefore a suitable pre-filter should be installed upstream.
Pearl Filtration also manufacture an alternative bag filter with a greater carbon content; due to it being manually filled with loose carbon granules.
Pearl Filtration stock and manufacture an expansive range of filter bags ideal for highly viscous applications or as an inexpensive filtration solution. Polyester, polypropylene, and nylon materials are all available to provide compatibility with several contrasting liquids and chemicals. Specialised bag filters such as; absolute rated, extended life, and carbon bags are available in all standard sizes. Bag filters can be housed within our range of stainless steel and plastic housings.
Pearl Filtration hold a substantial inventory of housings to suit our filter bags, available in either stainless steel (304/316) or plastic. A variety of inlet/outlet port options (BSP, Tri-clover, ANSI Flange), O-ring materials (Buna-N, EPDM, Silicone, Viton), sealing methods (clamp/swing bolt) are available.
Pearl Filtration supply filter elements and systems to a large and varied field of industries. Our products are often available in a range of diverse materials to ensure they are compatible with many different applications.
