String Wound Cartridges (PPW series) are an alternative to standard polypropylene depth cartridges. Wound cartridge filters are constructed of polypropylene string, with options of a polypropylene or stainless steel core.
String wound cartridges are often used for the filtration of oil or viscous liquids. Their comparatively more open wound structure provides a passage of flow for the viscous liquid, and therefore a longer service life.
Pearl Filtration manufacture a range of string wound filter cartridges here in Australia, in all standard lengths (10″, 20″, 30″, 40″).
Standard cartridge outer diameter is 2.5″ to suit standard filter housings.
String wound cartridges are also available to suit the 4.5″ Big Blue filter series.
