Pearl Filtration’s activated carbon bags are are typically used for chlorine reduction or for potable water treatment, to improve the taste of water. They are constructed of a coconut shell based carbon. Carbon filter bags can operate at higher flow rate compared to carbon filter cartridges.
Carbon filters are not recommended to remove particulate and therefore a suitable pre-filter should be installed upstream.
Pearl Filtration also manufacture an alternative bag filter with a greater carbon content; due to it being manually filled with loose carbon granules.

A variety of inlet/outlet port options (BSP, Tri-clover, ANSI Flange), O-ring materials (Buna-N, EPDM, Silicone, Viton), sealing methods (clamp/swing bolt) are available.
