OIL REMOVAL BAGS

oil removal filter bags

Pearl Filtration’s oil removal filter bags are effective at absorbing oils in a liquid stream. Bags are constructed of a melt-blown microfibre filter media specially designed to absorb oily substances. Absorption efficiency increases at a low flow rate. It is estimated oil removal bag filters can absorb and retain oil that is 23 times the filter bag’s dry weight.

Oil removal filters are available in either size 1 or size 2, to suit standard bag filter housings. Bags are equipped with either a plastic collar or a metal ring.

The recommended optimum micron rating for oil absorption is 25 μm. Pearl Filtration also supply the PPAB series in nominal micron ratings between 1 – 100 μm.

Oil removal filter bags are commonly used in industries such as; paints and coatings, pharmaceutical, water treatment and processing.
