Filters have multiple possible applications within the food and beverage industry:
- Treating the final food/beverage product. For example: juices, cordials, and soft drinks
- Filters are required for the cleaning/preparation process, for treating: CIP water, makeup water, or reverse osmosis (RO) purified water.

Bag Filter Housings
Stainless Steel: HECB / HEXB / BFM
Filter housings with a swing bolt closure and either flanged or tri-clover ports are often preferred. 316 stainless steel is typically recommended.

Cartridge Filter Housings
Foods and Beverages can be filtered with our range of single and multi-round cartridge housings, including our premium sanitary housings. 316 stainless steel is typically recommended.
Filter Cartridges
Our full range of cartridges are suitable for the filtration of foods and beverages, depending on compatibility. Commonly used cartridges include; Depth, Pleated, PES Membrane, Backwashable, and Carbon cartridges.
High Flow Housings
For applications with a high flow rate, specially designed stainless steel filter housings may be suitable. The housing is available in either a horizontal or vertical configuration.
High Flow Cartridges
Pearl Filtration supply filter cartridges to suit High Flow Housing models. Available in lengths 20″, 40″, 60″ and with a range of end-cap styles and micron ratings to choose from, the HF150 high flow cartridge is suitable for a range of applications. High flow cartridge systems can be advantageous when compared to regular bag or cartridge filter systems, as fewer filtration elements would be required to achieve a specified flow rate.
Sterile Air Filters
Filters for the purpose of sterilising air and gas streams. Common applications; fermentation inlet and outlet, freeze driers, venting, removing particles from air. Cartridges are constructed of PTFE and validated to sterilisation grades. Pearl Filtration offer an Integrity Testing Service for sterile air filters.
Steam Filters
Pearl Filtration supply filters designed to treat steam that could come into contact with product, process lines, or equipment. Cartridges are available in 304 / 316 stainless steel, can be sintered or pleated, with select models conforming to culinary grade requirements.
Airslide Fabric
This polyester media is installed within a air slide conveyor to aid with the transportation of bulk powder materials and food products such as flour. Airslide can provide a high air flow rate over long distances, as well as maintaining a high efficiency. Pearl Filtration have the capability to cut airslide media to the customers desired length.
