MERV-13 pleated panel filters are a high efficiency variant of standard V-Form filters, manufactured by Pearl Filtration in Melbourne, Australia.
Designed to filter and refine air intake within commercial buildings, MERV-13 pleated panels have become an increasingly popular product during the Covid-19 pandemic. According to the recommendations outlined by US agency ASHRAE (as of 1/9/21), while research suggests the SARS-CoV-2 virus is a tiny particle of 0.1 micron, the typical human-generated respiratory droplets that carry the virus are predominantly 1 micron in size and larger. MERV-13 filters are tested and rated to remove particulate between 1-3 micron at an efficiency of 85 %. Therefore ASHRAE recommend at least a MERV-13 filter be installed within a building’s HVAC or air circulation system in order to offer a significant reduction to the spread of the virus within.
Similarly to standard V-Form filters, MERV-13 filter panels are available in nominal 48 and 95 mm thicknesses, and can be mounted in slides or standard Holding Frames.
Standard frames are manufactured in aluminised steel, with galvanised mesh attached to each side of the media to provide support. Customised sizes and thicknesses can be manufactured upon request. A fully Stainless Steel (304/316) frame and mesh can also be manufactured.

Media is a pleated synthetic, and is contained within a moisture resistant cardboard frame. Now available in MERV-13 and suitable for constructing Corsi-Rosenthal boxes.
Multi-pocket bag filters are available in a rage of filtration grades (G4 – F9), suitable for use as pre-filters or fine filters in an air conditioning (HVAC) system. Media is synthetic, installed within a metal frame. Their large filter surface area ensures minimal resistance, long service life, and high dust holding capacity. All standard sizes are available.
