Stainless steel cartridges are often chosen for applications for which polypropylene filters would not be appropriate. This can include applications of: high temperatures, high pressure, corrosive chemicals; or the desire to be able to clean and re-use the filter cartridge.
Stainless steel cartridges are typically constructed of 316.
