Pearl Filtration’s activated carbon block filters are designed to reduce chlorine content in potable water.

The carbon block is manufactured from a coconut based activated carbon, which is encased in a polypropylene mesh shell. Such a construction ensures there is no risk of carbon fine shedding.

Carbon block filter cartridges are effective at reducing the content of: organic chemicals and chlorine; in addition to reducing odour and improving the water’s taste.

They function by adsorption. As such, they require a suitable pre-filter. Typically, this would be a melt-blown filter cartridge.
