Resin bonded cartridges are designed for applications involving high operating temperatures, or aggressive chemicals.
Cartridges feature a two-stage design: the outer pre-filter layer consists of a blend of acrylic fibres, bonded together with phenolic resin. This structure ensures a high strength, thus allowing the cartridge to reach high differential pressures before requiring replacement.
Towards the core of the cartridge, the pores become progressively tighter. This graded density allows the resin bonded cartridge to trap coarser particles within its outer surface, while finer particles are retained nearer the core.
